School History

Quinton Church Primary School has a rich history that dates back to its establishment as Quinton National School in 1842. The school underwent several enlargements in 1850, 1864, 1871, and around 1890 to accommodate its growing student body. In 1908-09, it was renamed Quinton Church of England School. In 1936, the school was reorganised to cater specifically to junior and infant children, and in 1949, it became a controlled school.

Recent developments include the school’s conversion to an academy in January 2017, when it became part of the Barchelai Multi-Academy Trust. In January 2019, Quinton Church Primary School joined the Birmingham Diocesan Multi-Academy Trust (BDMAT), continuing to maintain its popularity and family atmosphere within the community it serves.
